Windows has made things really complex that they always screw up somewhere.
well technology satthe no sambandh thodo kacho thai gayo chhe. still i can say windows is the most used OS today. what about future?
microsoft is giving away free windows cd to school at lower standards from where children start to learn computers. how can you hit that market with other OSes?

well , thats true but its with marketing and not with technology. windows never makes people intelligent but makes them mechanical. You are talking about most used OS , there are enough other places where people are now using Unix and all other Linux flavors. Linux makes people more intelligent , more enthuse , more innovative because being as open source with all source code and all technology linux has proved to be remarkable Operating System. Linux runs on more than 27 Architecture, Linux is used in industry , in embedded systems , in robotics, in yr wrist watch , phone ,,,,,,etc....
I am not against Microsoft because of any personnel reason, I love windows before when i dint know linux. But as an engineer i didnt understand all that OS concepts, how this all work to gather was like magic for me...! but once I started Linux all this magic revealed to me.so i started Lunxing....
for the future OS , I would say linux is gaining market like nething all around the world. You can just google for linux friend vs linux friend and get the results....!!!ahan,,,
Microsoft is the leader in marketing their things,, but their things are not the best. All the universities all around the world are using linux. And now a days with virtualization technology, those people who are using windows since long are also tend to install linux on top of windows with VMware or xen. Most non computer People have mentality why do we need to go for linux if windows works fine , if someone suggest them. So in other areas linux is not getting market , thats true. But once they know linux is free and pretty easy with GUI features , they all use linux.
And as far as technical detail concerns there are more advantages of linux/unix over windows as u know.
